Happy New Year, all!
Today, a day for resolutions to begin, prompts me to share mine. I have always felt if you make your resolution public, you have a better chance of sticking to it.

In 2006 we, David and I, d'Oni Enterprises and anyone else we can convince, are going to do whatever we can to support the ALSA, the MSF and those living with the diseases.

In February, we will donate a portion of our proceeds at a wholesale level to the MS Foundation through our retailer, Cub Foods. It is our goal to find other retailers who are willing to participate with us.

We are working on the same type of promotion for the ALSA -- details are still being coordinated.

I wish you all the best in 2006.

-Janis

d'Oni Enterprises has always believed in charitable contributions. Over the last year we have supported the Red Cross, Project Angel Food and the USO's Operation Phone Home. For us, it isn't just a matter of giving back to our community but more about lending our support and raising our voices.

Join me in supporting the ALS Association of Greater Los Angeles Chapter as I walk to d'Feet ALS. d'Oni Enterprises has started the donations by donating $300 on behalf of David, myself and our wonderful customers. If you wish to join us in our goal of raising awareness and supporting those with ALS, please sponsor me on the Walk to d'Feet ALS: Sponsor the We Belong Together Team

"It is the mission of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association to provide meaningful assistance for persons with ALS, their families, caregivers and health care professionals in the Greater Los Angeles area." (Rev. 2003)

A Message from Janis Regarding ALSALA:

In the Summer of 2004 I learned that a friend of mine had been diagnosed with ALS. The news hurt my soul and made me feel helpless. What made me feel better was watching him and his attitude towards the disease -- and though we don't talk to each other that much or see each other often, he has taught me a lot.

At a benefit in April, when I bid on a rare cd (and was outbid!) to support the ALSALA, his comment was: Janis, that's an awful lot of BBQ Sauce. Yeah, it is. But making a million dollars (trust me, I haven't) was never my goal in starting d'Oni. My goal was and remains to see if I could. Since realizing I could -- why not see what else a small gourmet sauce company and its valued consumers could do?

If you are going to raise your voice, make it worthwhile.
~ Janis
