CHILE PEPPER MAGAZINE ANNOUNCES 2001 CONTEST WINNERS
d’Oni Enterprises' Moondance Marinade places first in category,
earns entry to New York City competition this week

(January 2001- Sherman Oaks, CA) For the third time in less than a year, one of d’Oni Enterprises' specialty sauces has won top honors in a national specialty sauce and condiment contest. To date, d’Oni products have won awards in all of the contests they have been submitted to, demonstrating their high appeal among food industry experts.

The company's Moondance Marinade recently was awarded first prize in the marinade category of the 2001 Fiery Food challenge, the oldest and most prestigious product judging competition in the zesty, spicy and hot food industry, presented by Chile Pepper Magazine.

As part of the honors, d’Oni Enterprises is one of 38 companies invited by Chile Pepper Magazine to compete in the Chile Pepper/Pepcid "Complete Heat" Peoples Choice Award contest on Wall Street in New York City on Wednesday, January 17th, 2001. Spicy products will be judged in a taste-off by a panel of New York City's finest chefs, food critics, celebrities and writers. A companion contest will be judged by people on the street as they select the "complete heat" awards.

Janis Dalessandro, President and Founder of d’Oni Enterprises, found d’Oni's latest award extremely gratifying given the fact that the company and its products only entered the highly competitive specialty sauce marketplace last year.

"We're thrilled," Dalessandro said. "We've only been in business eight months and have placed first or second in all of the contests we have entered. What began as a simple adventure in the kitchen and a dream for the future is now coming to fruition in ways we could only imagine."
